Angelina Jolie’s a Hero
"If you ask people what they've always wanted to do, most people haven't done it. That breaks my heart."Angelina Jolie's quote shows she is a hero for her character of being prosperous and optimistic. Angelina Jolie is a hero because she is a positive influence, donates money to charities, and shows great compassion for others.
The first reason Angelina Jolie is a hero is because she’s a positive influence. She visits people all around the world who are impoverished and encourages them. Asked what she hoped to accomplish meeting with refuges and internally displaced persons in more than twenty countries, she stated, “Awareness of the plight of these people. I think they should be commended for what they have survived, not looked down upon.” According to GossipCenter, in their article “Angelina Jolie’s Goodwill visit to Libya”, “[Angelina Jolie] spends countless hours trying to help those in the most desperate need,” which proves her to be a type of kindhearted person and sympathetic. When she travels, she goes to express solidarity with them. She also visits to keep company, reassure, and hearten up those who need it. While she travels and visits, she supports people.
Another action of hers that makes her a hero is for the donation of money to charity. Angelina Jolie constantly volunteers to help the needy. She’s always been known for her

penchant for giving. Stated by GossipCenter, from the article: “Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt’s BIG Donation,” Jolie along with her partner Brad Pitt made a donation to charity, “[They] dropped a check for $340,000 to the organization to help provide healthcare for homeless children in Somalia. (2011)” She doesn’t waste all her earned money on just personal needs. Even having children to take care of, she realizes she has money that can maybe change another person’s life. Jolie has stated that she now plans to spend most of her time in humanitarian efforts, to be financed by her actress salary. She devotes one third of her income to savings, one third to living expenses and one third to charity.
Last but not least, Angelina Jolie also helps the world showing great compassion for others and indicating she’s a hero. She is certainly generous and caring when it comes to helping people. She adopts children to give them a chance to live a better life. In an interview with Christiane Amanpour from CNN, she said, “‘I’m always open to children around the world.’” In 2002, Angelina adopted a Cambodian refugee boy named Maddox and in 2005 adopted an Ethiopian refugee girl named Zahara. Another thing about her is that she doesn’t just adopt any kid. Seeing the penury of the children in the refugees and orphanages, she decides these should be the ones to be granted an opportunity to experience an enjoyable life. Angelina Jolie has always been a lovely big humanitarian, and has never so much as thought twice before adopting a refugee or two in the name of saving the world.
Because she is a positive influence to others, donates a sufficient amount of money to charities, and shows empathy for others, Angelina Jolie reflects every quality of a hero. Despite her magnificent life as a movie star, she dedicates time to do other things that make this world a

better place. Angelina Jolie’s astounding deeds are well-known and she plans on continuing to do anything she can to create a change.
