why i chose Cyber Bullying .

I chose cyber bullying because this has been increasing and teens that I know have even been part of this. I think we should create a way to help those who are being cyber bullied and stop them from committing suicide and so forth. Also, we should create a way to stop these bullies !
1. http://www.dosomething.org/
In this site, there's 11 facts about cyber bullying. It talks about the %s of the bullying situation. The percents of how many kids have been bullied, harassed, etc.
2. http://www.cyberbullyalert.com/
In this site, it talks about some cyber bullying statistics and also information about cyber bullying.
3. http://www.bullyingstatistics.org/
This talks about the types of cyber bullying, and what can be counted as cyber bullying. It also says what cyber bullying can lead to.
4.http://www.how-to-stop-bullying.com/
In this website it basically talks about what the URL says : ( how to stop bullying ). It also talks about recent school bullying statistics, and a section talks about the percentages according to the "Bureau of Justice School Bullying Statistics and cyber bullying statistics - School crime and safety."
5. http://www.ryanpatrickhalligan.org/
This talks about a kid that was being bullied and cyber bullied and ended up committing suicide.

10 facts about cyber bullying.

1. Nearly 42% of kids have been bullied online and almost one in four have had it happen more than once.
2. Nine out of ten middle school students have had their feelings hurt online.
3. About 75% have visited a Web site bashing another student.
4. Four out of ten middle school students have had their password(s) stolen and changed by a bully who then locked them out of their own account or sent communications posing as them.
5. About 21% of kids have received mean or threatening e-mails.
6. The psychological and emotional outcomes of cyber bullying are similar to real-life bullying outcomes, except for the reality that with cyber bullying there is often no escape. School usually ends at 3 p.m., while the Internet is available all the time.
7. The primary cyber bullying location where victimizing occurs, at 56%, is in chat rooms.
8. Girls are about twice as likely as boys to be victims and perpetrators of cyber bullying.
9. About 58% of kids admit someone has said mean or hurtful things to them online. More than four out of ten say it has happened more than once.
10. Cyber bullying has increased in recent years. In a national survey of 10-17 year olds, twice as many children indicated they had been victims and perpetrators.

Unequal Access-How can lack of access to the internet impact your future?

MOBILE ACCESS
Innovators - How will lack of digital access impact us as a country?
What are the options for better Access
Explain the Final Recommendations?
What could be done to increase internet access and create more choices for communities nationwide?
What actions need to be taken to keep the internet open for users and innovators?

1. America Offline means other countries have more access than us.

2. That impacts us because we have less access to the internet, compared to other countries , which divides us.

3. Without much internet, in our future, we will not be as successful as we would have if we had better/more access to the internet. That's a reason other countries , are more successful in their academics, learn more advanced things,, etc.

4.  Lack of digital access impacts us as a country because other countries are higher than us in economy,
create better inventions, and work a better community.

5. The options for better Access is for cities / counties / states or the federal government, to come together to get the funds to rewire the communities.

6. The Final Recommendations are for us to come together in order to rewire the communities by getting the funds and that'd give us better access.

Angelina Jolie’s a Hero

"If you ask people what they've always wanted to do, most people haven't done it. That breaks my heart."Angelina Jolie's quote shows she is a hero for her character of being prosperous and optimistic. Angelina Jolie is a hero because she is a positive influence, donates money to charities, and shows great compassion for others.

The first reason Angelina Jolie is a hero is because she’s a positive influence. She visits people all around the world who are impoverished and encourages them. Asked what she hoped to accomplish meeting with refuges and internally displaced persons in more than twenty countries, she stated, “Awareness of the plight of these people. I think they should be commended for what they have survived, not looked down upon.” According to GossipCenter, in their article “Angelina Jolie’s Goodwill visit to Libya”, “[Angelina Jolie] spends countless hours trying to help those in the most desperate need,” which proves her to be a type of kindhearted person and sympathetic. When she travels, she goes to express solidarity with them. She also visits to keep company, reassure, and hearten up those who need it. While she travels and visits, she supports people.

Another action of hers that makes her a hero is for the donation of money to charity. Angelina Jolie constantly volunteers to help the needy. She’s always been known for her

penchant for giving. Stated by GossipCenter, from the article: “Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt’s BIG Donation,” Jolie along with her partner Brad Pitt made a donation to charity, “[They] dropped a check for $340,000 to the organization to help provide healthcare for homeless children in Somalia. (2011)” She doesn’t waste all her earned money on just personal needs. Even having children to take care of, she realizes she has money that can maybe change another person’s life. Jolie has stated that she now plans to spend most of her time in humanitarian efforts, to be financed by her actress salary. She devotes one third of her income to savings, one third to living expenses and one third to charity.

Last but not least, Angelina Jolie also helps the world showing great compassion for others and indicating she’s a hero. She is certainly generous and caring when it comes to helping people. She adopts children to give them a chance to live a better life. In an interview with Christiane Amanpour from CNN, she said, “‘
I’m always open to children around the world.’” In 2002, Angelina adopted a Cambodian refugee boy named Maddox and in 2005 adopted an Ethiopian refugee girl named Zahara. Another thing about her is that she doesn’t just adopt any kid. Seeing the penury of the children in the refugees and orphanages, she decides these should be the ones to be granted an opportunity to experience an enjoyable life. Angelina Jolie has always been a lovely big humanitarian, and has never so much as thought twice before adopting a refugee or two in the name of saving the world.

Because she is a positive influence to others, donates a sufficient amount of money to charities, and shows empathy for others, Angelina Jolie reflects every quality of a hero. Despite her magnificent life as a movie star, she dedicates time to do other things that make this world a

better place. Angelina Jolie’s astounding deeds are well-known and she plans on continuing to do anything she can to create a change.

EVALUATE ! c:

1. How can my learning serve my community?
2. How can your future projects become better?
3. What have you learned about yourself and what you will continue to do or not do and why?
4. How do you feel about your final product? What would you rate yourself on the Rubric scale of 1-6 for each part of the Assessment Criterion?
5. What would you do differently in regards to your planning and execution of your plan?
Create a paragraph to answer each question.

Your response:
1. By learning how to do this, I can teach others my knowledge and it will be passed on. Then, it helps others when creating anything .

2. My future projects can better because in this one I was always doing things at the last minute & it was REALLY hard for me to catch up with the due dates. Regardless, in the future projects, I will put in more effort and time into it.

3. From this project I figured out that I'm irresponsible, but that either way, i still try my hardest to catch up and DO what is needed to be done. Obviously, i will try not being irresponsible anymore because then ot backfires on me. On the other hand, I'll still keep trying my hardest to make sure i do everything I'm supposed to.

4. I actually think my final project is ok, although it kinnda looks crowded. But, i think it has everything that i was supposed to "teach", so i'm proud of it. The rate i would give it would be a 4.

5. My planning didnt go that well... I ended up doing a prezi video - i didn't even use simlebox - like I had planned.
To top it off, and honestly, I did this in a rush and with lots of stress. So, it seems as if the time planning was worthless, cause i didnt follow that.

EVALUATE:
20. How could you improve your presentation?
i could put examples , to help the learner better understand.
21. Does your presentation meet all of the requirements?
Yes, because i included everything i needed to teach about the design cycle.
22. Share your presentation with at least 2-8th, 3-9th, 4-10th+ friends. What did he/she like about your presentation?
They said that it looked like I actually took my time , and that it looked creative , because i added a lot of stuff which made it look interesting.
23. Reflect on all the steps of the Design Cycle. What did you do well? What do you need to improve?
I think i did well in my end product and i can say that i'm proud of it . I did the investigation stage well, though i failed in the plan because in my create i didn't follow it nor did i do the design i had chosen before. I did complete the evaluations i was required, so i also did good on that. Like i said, i needed to improve on the plan section part of my project.
24. Were you responsible in using the software, Internet, pictures, and computer?
Yes, on this part i did do good. i used the internet , i added pictures, and a computer.
25. How can my learning help my community?
I think teaching the 6th graders this, is a good thing. Because i highly think they will tell others and it will soon be passed on.
26. What grade do you deserve on this project? (1 - 6)
i deserve a 4, because i didn't follow my plan, but also, that's what is also part of the design cycle - you change things according to which you think is better, and that's all a process.

create evaluation / PROJECT ! :*

CREATE- Reflecting on my creation
19.  Did I follow my Plan ?
I honestly did not follow my plan because i did not go by what i put in my gantt chart .
 20.  How could I have improved on my creation?
I could have added more pictures .
21.  What will I do next time that I did not do this time?
I will spend my time wisely and try not to be too pressured.

My Final Project !* :o

Plan / Design Evaluation

PLAN:
14. Brainstorm ideas. Use the chart below
Three ideas :
* Put lots of pictures
- pros -
it will make it more interesting
-cons-
it will be difficult to find interesting pictures that relate to the objective.
* Give a Brief explanation
-pros-
it wont be too boring and make the 6th grader feel uninterested right away.
-cons-
i may miss out on important information that was needed/ required
IB Brainstorming Chart .pdf found in schoology under “materials”& then files
15. What idea did you choose to demonstrate the design cycle and why did you choose it?
I chose to demonstrate the design cycle using prezi and creating a video, because i like creating stuff that include transitions and the prezi website really caught my attention.
16. Does your idea meet all of the requirements?
Yes, because my orject is going to explain and teach the design cycle process (and that is what we are supposed to do.)
17. Use the story board paper below to plan your presentation.  Include how many levels you will have, what will be on each level, how will you include teaching skills to young students, and what will your questions be about.
story board.pdf found in schoology under “materials” & then files.
18. Explain how you will use your time to get your project finished in 12 days:
I  made a Gant chart, which will lead me & tell me what is it that i have to do every day. By doing this orderly, I will be able to finish my project in 12 days as planned.
 REFLECT on your learning
I think that if i follow my plan correctly, my product will come out as a satisfying creation.
_______________________________________________________
10. Write a short statement of what you are going to make, why you are going to make it, and for whom you are making it.

I am creating a video explaining the design cycle, using Smilebox . The reason I am making this is because that's the assignment for this class.

Formulate a Design Specification

11. What are the requirements for this assignment?

The Requirements are:
- To make it Quick and to the Point.
- For it to be clear and understandable
& - That it's explaining All the Design Cycle Step.

12. What are the limitations you have with this assignment?

The limitations for this Project is the time Because we are only given Two Minutes to Present what we've Created .

13. How will you "test" your project?

I will ask the 6th graders on their opinion and what they learned from the Design Cycle Project, and determine by their answers wether i did a good job or not on what  i taught (The Design Cycle) . For example, make them list every step from the Design Cycle, and write in each what it contains/ what the steps mean.

Design Specifications

* it's going to be brief, but at the same time with enough information.
* it's also going to be interesting enough so it'll catch the 6th graders' attention and actually make them WANT to learn about the Design Cycle.
* the video will be short and to the point, and not go too much out of it. (of what they'll be learning about)
* it's going to be clear and make it easy for them to remember all of the steps of the Design Cycle.
